PhD Opportunity in Agrifood and Environmental Sciences, University of Trento and University of Southern Denmark (SDU)

The PhD programme in Agrifood and Environmental Sciences aims to train researchers of international standing, capable of designing and conducting research activities in the fields of agricultural, food, and environmental sciences. Students acquire knowledge and develop skills in a multidisciplinary research area that includes modern agriculture and, more broadly, the human interaction with the environment.

The programme also aims to equip the participants with the expertise and skills necessary to actively contribute to the economic, technological, and scientific development of the agrifood and environmental sectors, with a focus on collective wellbeing and health, the conservation of natural resources in view of the circular economy, the mitigation of environmental impacts, and the sustainable use of resources.

The PhD programme is established in collaboration with the PhD programme in Civil, environmental, and mechanical engineering at DICAM, and is run in collaboration with Fondazione Edmund Mach-FEM.
