Join Consumer and Sensory Insights (CSI) at dsm-firmenich to inspire, guide and validate innovation in key sweet goods categories through a deep understanding of human emotions, preferences and behaviors and win even more clients.
In this role you will design and run consumer and sensory projects, as a strategic answer to clear business objective and in close collaboration with the internal business partners [marketing, commercial and technical teams] and with clients.
You will contribute to creating highly desirable, essential and sustainable food products.
You will be based in Paris but will travel regularly to Geneva where some of your business partners are located.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Consumer and Sensory studies for key & established sweet goods categories – from design to analysis to impactful communication, using relevant visuals and statistical models.
- Contribute to the Sweet Goods segment strategy by bringing the voice of the consumer into strategic proactive and reactive initiatives.
- Communicate clear and actionable insights to internal and external partners.
- Partner with the EUR CSI team, the European business teams (marketing, technical, creation, sales) & our Global CSI team to collaboratively deliver winning solutions for EUR key projects.
- Develop network relationships with junior and mid-level CSI counterparts at clients.
- Contribute to the development of CSI differentiating tools and approaches in close collaboration with CSI counterparts internally (global and regional) and with external partners.

You Bring
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Food Science with a minimum of 5 years confirmed experience in a similar role from FMCG, F&F House, Market Research Industry.
- Prior experience in interacting with external agencies (Consumer and Sensory)
- Expertise in a wide range of Consumer Research techniques:
- Specific knowledge of standard sensory methods, as well as more advanced ones.
- Specific knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative consumer research methods,advanced methods is a plus (Drivers of Liking, Conjoint, Turf, DoE).
- Solid knowledge of statistical methods as applied to sensory testing and consumer research; experience with key software such as XLSTAT, PowerBi is a plus.
- Soft skills: team-oriented, solution-oriented, ability to manage projects creatively, ability to communicate clearly and efficiently.
