NaileR: Bridging AI with Sensory and Consumer Data

What will you get out of the workshop?

At the end of this workshop, you will have understood how to combine language models and statistical analysis. You will be able to interpret QDA data automatically. You will be able to synthesize and interpret consumer data from open-ended questions.

There might be an opportunity for the participants to contribute to data collection which will be used for analysis during the workshop.

About the speaker

Sebastien Le is a statistician with over 20 years of experience in sensory and consumer data analysis. His work includes confidence ellipses, analyzing holistic methods like sorting and napping, and innovating new data collection techniques such as digit-tracking. He is a co-author of the widely used FactoMineR and SensoMineR packages and have supervised several Ph.D. students, contributing to advancements in sensory and marketing research.

As a consultant, he assists international companies with complex data analysis and new methods of data collection. He has published more than 50 papers and co-authored books, including Analyzing Sensory Data with R and Exploratory Multivariate Analysis by Example Using R.

Since 2010, he has worked with children on tasks related to food perception, adapting methods for non-verbal subjects. With strong ties to Asia, he frequently collaborate internationally and is known for his innovation, and passion for interdisciplinary work. He enjoys analyzing data from various perspectives, building new protocols, and running experiments.
