25th February 2026 | Online
The E3S Education Working Group will be holding an interactive webinar on the 25th February 2026 featuring members of the E3S Next Generation group who have recently graduated from sensory and consumer science programmes across Europe and are now working in both food and non food backgrounds.
The session will take the form of a Q&A discussion, where members of the E3S Education working group will ask the recent graduates about their experiences in sensory education. The aim is to gain insights into what has worked well in university teaching and assessment, what challenges students have faced, and how educational programmes might evolve to better prepare future sensory and consumer professionals.
Example discussion topics include:
- How assessment methods (e.g., exams, presentations, projects) influenced learning and engagement.
- Challenges faced during study and how universities can support students.
- The emerging skills and competencies that future sensory and consumer scientists will need, and how courses could adapt to develop these.
The session will promote dialogue between educators and recent graduates, helping E3S build a shared understanding of effective educational practices and future training needs in sensory and consumer science. If you are interested, please look out for the registration link in the new year.
