The E3S Education Working Group will be holding an interactive webinar with Sébastien Lê (Institut Agro Rennes-Angers, France)

jamovi, a “third-generation” statistical spreadsheet, is designed to be user-friendly and serves as an alternative to paid-for statistical software. It is built on the R statistical language, providing access to the best tools available in the statistics community. jamovi is free and open-source, developed by the scientific community for the scientific community.

jamovi goes beyond being a statistical program; it’s a community of statisticians who create specialized modules.

In this workshop, we’ll utilize the MEDA and SEDA modules to analyze sensory and consumer data. MEDA and SEDA are graphical user interfaces specifically designed for jamovi. They are dedicated to multidimensional exploratory analysis on one hand and sensory data analysis on the other. These modules are based on the functions of the R packages FactoMineR (over 10 million downloads) and SensoMineR (over 100,000 downloads).

By the end of this workshop, participants will see the analysis of data from various data collections, including:

1) QDA

2) CATA

3) Sorting

4) Napping

5) Preference mapping
